Nine out of ten locals are just 300 meters away from a green space or a park, but many have poor awareness where the city’s green spaces are, what you can do there and how to get there. Through the new app Discover Stockholm, we would encourage you to explore your own city. It’s not only nice but also climate friendly to be a tourist in your home town.

The application has been developed within the project Climate-smart Stockholmers a environmental governance. Information and content are updated with the help of sport management, culture management, as well as several of the district administrations. The application is available for Android and iOS platforms and can be downloaded free of charge from Google Play and the App Store. Read more about the app and get instructions here

Project information: The city of Stockholm turned to their digital agency Creuna to create an official city guide. The Mobile Life’s task as partner to Creuna¬† has been development and ongoing support of the native Android and iPhone applications.

Ps. Stockholm is the capital and the largest city of Sweden and constitutes the most populated urban area in Scandinavia, with a population of 900,000. As of 2010, the Stockholm metropolitan area is home to approximately 22% of Sweden’s population. Founded in c. 1250, possibly as early as 1187, Stockholm has long been one of Sweden’s cultural, media, political, and economic centres. Its strategic location on 14 islands on the coast in the south-east of Sweden has been historically important.
